I have this wierd problem whenever I play SPWAW

This may sound very stupid but I always have the tendency to reload my last saved game to 'bypass' any bad events that happen to me in a turn. Like when I lose a tiger tank or some other high value unit I reload to my last saved game to salvage it and try a different strategy. I'm used to playing real time games, but in turn based games like SPWAW or Civilization, I always do these cheap things. I know I'm defeating the purpose of the game, but for some reason I find it more fun knowing that I haven't lost a single tank. Am I the only person here to experience this? What should I do to overcome this bad habit?

1) Don't save the game...play it to the end at one sitting.
2) Only save when you have to quit to take the dog to dinner, get more beer, or let the wife out for the night. Or...should that be...nahhh.
3) Set a turn limit for saving, like every 5 turns. Then, if something goes bad after 4 turns, you have to go abck and redo the previous 4 before you even get back to the pre-bad thing turn. After a few games like this, you'll break the habit and start saying, "Aww, heck...there went another Tiger. Oh well, I've almost broken through, and I don't want to redo all this again."
Hope these help....

Get the Mega-campaign - it doesn't let you go back to a previous save. The only way to "do it over" is to restart the MC.

to Ham:
you can play a PBEM game with someone else, in this kind of game you cannot "cheat" this way.

Just go cold turkey.
Stop doing it.
It's better that way.
I know.

My problem is - I forget to save often enough! I don't have a problem losing a tank or squad (after a while, you just get numb from the repetition) It's usually when my battle has been going great; on my way to a decisive victory, when the PC crashes or something. So, I scream, and start over. Now however, the OPFOR is twice as strong, Op Fire is three times as accurate, mine density has doubled, you get the picture.
