A couple questions..

Hello.

1)I'm sorry I don't remembers reading this in the manual or not but does weather have an effect on the number of offloading troop casulties during an invasion?

2)When landing in enemy territory with an invasion fleet is there any advantage in landing on a non-base "beach" hex, without any enemy units, next to your objective then marching on it?
Even if there wasnt CD units in the objective the landing would be unopposed and should result in lower casulties. This would also allow for logistical support to be unloaded, resulting in them not having to take part in any combat, or requiring a second TF. One other reason would be to avoid potential counter-attacks. Any reason why this should not be done at every chance possible?

3)When sending an MSW TF into a hex with mines, with "retirement allowed", will that TF clear a path so that a bombardment TF say 2 days later can take advantage of?

Thanks.

No - you need to send a mine warfare TF to a hex with no retirement to clear mines, iirc. If you send one with retirement allowed, that is to LAY mines.
