I am a newbie, who would like to know how accessible the game is for the beginer. While I am not new to games( old guy who started with a a commodore64), I dont have alot of experience with strategy games. Is this a game that is pretty easy to jump in and play, or do I need to sell the business, send my kids off to college, wife to retirement home, so I can devote alot of time learning the game. From what I have read, it seems exciting, but I am straying in unknown territory.

You should be able to get into this game just fine. After going through the two tutorials, you should be ready to control one major power while you let the AI play the other 4. There are different levels of difficulty so you can start easy and then make it harder as you go. Hopefully some of the testers can chime in, but if you're interested in the idea of a strategy game covering all of WWII, this is probably the most accessible one you're going to find.

Great game. Easy for first time WWII grand strategy players. Not so detailed that you get lost in the rules but detailed enough that it has lots of replay value. After you're comfortable playing against the computer, the "Play-By-E-Mail" (PBEM) method of playing other people changes the feel of the game again. Easy to play with lots of depth. What more could you want? Oh yeah, and most of the game is setup with text files so you can change things too, for even more play value![:)]
