Active Reviews did a "preview/review" (Since the review is out technically before the game is I suppose its a preview) and gave WaW a 94 out of 100!

They say things like "this is one of the most impressive war games to come out in the last few years."

and: "2X3 games truly went out of their way in creating one of the most remarkable turn-based strategy games since “Civilization 3.” I would not only recommend this game to military buffs but to anyone interested in that earth shattering period of World War 2. "

Not too shabby! Read the full review here: http://www.activereviews.com/games/articles/116

Actually, it's a review. To compensate for the reviewer's oversight, I think I speak for everyone here (the downloaders anyway), when I say that that you should release the download game now. I mean, if reviews are out the game has been released.

Nah, downloaders should have to wait, just like us retailers. ;)

Yes I agree. It makes no real sense to distribute the game via download before it goes retail, but I can see the point some are making that plan on downloading it. I wouldn't want to wait either. ;)

Comparing it to Civilization III, now that's certainly putting it into the plus column for a lot of gamers.

I personally have to compare it to Axis & Allies and Risk, a lot of resemblance there, most likely not the gameplay, but, the looks. I think a lot will compare it that way myself.

I don't make the decisions on when we release it :-)

However... I also don't write the reviews... heheh if he wants to compare it to civ 3 ... I think its great! I love civ 3 :-) (I suspect he meant in reference to quality, not to actual gameplay)
