I spent a hour looking for this game at this worthless website.. and was convinced that it wasn't yet available.

Well, the game doesn't "beam itself" simlutaneously into stores from the warehouse, so yes, some people will get the game before others. But it is VERY unlikely that any retailers will have the game before WE have the game.
Now you can believe us when we say we don't have the product yet, or you can trust some dude on ebay who CLAIMS to have the game... We can't control when the game gets to whom, but our goal is to have the game available at retail AND via digital download all at the same time.
Take my advice though, don't spring for overnight shipping thinking you are going to get the game tomorrow, until we announce its availability.

As for the attitude I appoligize if it appears bitter in nature.
The games main website directly links to this one. You would think that this place could provide the answers to the questions repeatly asked on this forum. If I get can get the answers from companies on ebay or Amazon.. why not here?
What if I gave up after seeing the threads in this forum and just bought another game from somewhere else? Now.. I do not pretend to know the volume of traffic that this website gets.. buts let us speculate a bit
What if a 100 people just bought another game in regards to not being informed of the release date.. prehaps a 1000..
Either this disturbuter left us in the dark or obviously they don't have their #### together..
How can this comapny who is in a direct relationship with the game not know what a half dozen other companies know in regards to this game?

1. The game is not available yet from anyone legally. My guess is that your eBay seller is getting a copy either retail or wholesale on the release date and then sending to you.
2. Please read the first post in this forum regarding retail and download availability.
If your frustration is because you haven't been told a date, while that is understandable, the manner in which you express that frustration is not.

Well, the ebay auctions I looked at all said one of two things:
1) Pre-Order - Game will be released on Mar 17th
2) Allow 1 to 2 weeks for delivery.
Hmmm.. Let's see. March 17th is a pretty good guess. They probably think that nobody will leave a bad comment if the game is late a day or two ( hell, its not THEIR fault )..
Number two speaks for itself.
I hope you ( and everyone else ) gets the game in your hands as fast as possible.
I'd bet money that it won't be a day before Matrix says its shipping... [:D]

I find myself repeating myself across two threads

So friend.. how polite is it to make a potential custumer loop around your website for a hour only to find information regarding your product and the product elsewhere?
I am just expressing negative criticism to a degree.. Prehaps this will resolve the issue for future custumers who may find themselves in my position.
ahh.. I must be bored.. good thing I work for myself and can afford to debate about something so insignificant..

Well here you go...
Everyone wants a ship date....... drum roll please. Gary Grigsby World At War will start shipping to retail stores on March 28, 2005. We expect it will take a few days to reach the stores. Once we get a better date on when the stores will have the game available we will set the digital download date as well.
The game will be shipped to retailers starting 28 March. Whole salers will likely have it a few days before that, but your ebay can' have a legal copy of what has yet to leave the factory....

You know Paul, they should really have kept their leash on you. The forums were really so much better without you being a major part for so long. The fact that you came back into this thread to talk smack and gloat about playing the game just lost 1 sale of this game.
I'll admit it's no big deal to Matrix or 2x3 but it is a sale lost just the same, directly related to your flippant attitude towards the customers of Matrix.

seriously though.. since you locked the other thread while I was halfway posting..
I think it's exactly what I was saying earlier.
Wholesale companies skipping the middle man.
The reseller release is due on the 28th the game is being offered by many wholesale internet companies on the 16th,
That is only a 12 day difference.
The game could be sitting in a warehouse being scheduled to be delivered to outlet stores during that duration.. it isn't that long.
If the wholesale skips the reseller then the early release is accounted for.

If the wholesale skips the reseller then the early release is accounted for.
And you wonder why retailers go out of business. When you can't trust wholesalers to not undercut the retail channel, there really isn't much left in the way of options.

I hate to even post - but if the publisher says no one has the game, I'd believe the publisher over a retailer (or even wholesaler). EB has been giving up bogus dates for this game's release for months now......like Matrix says, it hasn't even been published yet, so no one has got copies for sale!
