I've just bought UV. [:)]

Any n00bish advice gratefully received. [;)]

Welcome to the club. You are going to like it. It is a great game. It seems easy enough but there is a lot to learn. Play againts the AI to get a feel for it then, find a human opponent. That is how you will learn.

The one serious flaw is that there is a lot of stuff to know that is not in the manual, so start out by just reading through the posts on this forum. I would read back for the last month. Use the search string to find older posts. It works pretty well. Unfortunatly for you, most of the old guard have gone on to War in the Pacific. Bigger and better. But this is an excellent game and good to learn the system.

Lastly, make sure you go to the Matrix web sight and download the most recent patches. You should be playing the latest version.

Yep, lots of us old uv players have converted to witp but pop back in to take a look around every once in a while.
