Hi there,

I've been following the discussion about the availability of the GGWaW game for a while. I see a lot of messages about where to get it soon in the USA and Canada.

I myself live in The Netherlands and would love to buy this game ASAP. I very much prefer a box copy of the game. Then I have the printed manual and a CD-ROM.

Can anyone say something about when it will be available in the stores here in The Netherlands? Or can I buy a box copy at the Matrix store the 28th, which will be sent here in a few days at normal delivery costs?

I hope someone can give me some answers!

Some retailers may have the game in their shops over the weekend so please check with you local stores first before running out. The MSRP is $39.99 and comes with a printed manual. Our Digital Download version will be available on Monday March 28th for $39.99 and will come with a PDF manual. There will be no Game On Demand option at this time.

Doesn't look like you'll be able to get a boxed version from the Matrix store.

The digital download version will be available on Monday and we are getting very close to setting up a Euro deal. Of course the Euro release will be a little behind. Also you can try Store4War (www.store4war.com) since there seem to have very good connections.

What does it mean? the euro download option will be released later?

No. It means the euro download is Monday like everyone else's, and the euro retail deal is closer. [:)]

Although don't want to start a fight (but I know it will!) why the ...Of course the Euro release will be a little behind...

I understand the concept of bordres...but why the "of course" bit?

I'm sorry...I'm drunk...it's 2am and I have no idea what I'm starting. My question was a valid one...but with the lack of dialog...a little inflamatory.

Thanks for the info David. I tried the store4war site, but they do not have the game listed yet. The digital download is hardly an option for me right now, since it has the same price as the retail version, but I have to print the manual myself. That will cost me a lot of extra money. The cheapest copyshop around here will charge about $20 for the printing of the manual.

However I do not understand why the European release is later than the US one. I think I read that the game will also be produced in Europe itself. Why not start producing there at the same time?

And would it not be a nice gesture to European fans to have the option of buying a boxed copy in the matrix store available to them? So we can also enjoy playing next week and do not have to wait a few more weeks (my best guess).

I am not criticising Matrix about this. I am just jealous to the North American players, who can get the game in a few days!

It's going to be later not because we wanted it so, but because it took longer than planned to work out the European release with our partners in Europe. Digital Download will still be available worldwide on Monday.
