Are there limits of any kind to the amount of systems that can be added to a ship's def file? Specifically weapons.

Not that I've come across, but I haven't made anything with more than 50 or so systems.

So far, I'm ok. If I max the weapons to 8 barrels each like they are allowed, then I can keep the number of unique weapons much lower. So far, I have 64 gun barrells with 8 unique guns. I have 32 firing off the starboard side and 32 firing off the port. If I could double that, I would be very happy.

I suppose there is a theoretical limit, but if you keep your groups down to 4 then the AI should use all your weapons.
