Leaders is an area that has received little attention in the CHS but I am happy to announce that jcjordan has volunteered to take on the task of adjusting the Allied Leader database. Is there anyone that would like to work with him, especially for the Japanese Leaders?

Frigging with leaders was how I corrupted my first major scenario mod! Sad when you can't "insert" leaders without starting a chain reaction from hell.
Anyway, until this is fixed, is there much point?

Ron what I had in mind was to wait until the leader bug is fixed or at least well under control in 1.5 (fingers crossed) & then start from scratch on the leaders db. This will be a major rework of the db as well as affecting the unit dbs due to leaders will probably be in different slots. I've been working on a list of the major Allied div commanders as well as major ships. Theoretically I'd like to have slot ranges broken down like IJN, IJA, USN, USA, etc with some spaces between each group & get rid of alot of the generic names Matrix seems to have put in. From some research I've done the IJN leaders should be fairly easy but the IJA, other than the well known generals, I've not found a good source for but would prefer someone who has a good bit of IJ forces info. I'm basically an AlliedFanboy type so I've been getting more info for that side than the IJ side.

You will still get some random names generated by the AI.
These will generally be replacement leaders for killed ones or "random" assigned ones from the database.
One thing I have noticed is that most of the database names have two initials, but the AI only seems to generate one initial. If you did something like that, it might useful to see if the leader is a "real" one or a "virtual" one.
