Hallo everybody. Its good to see such a promising game emerge.Lets hope it will as good as we all wish.
Now the question. How is the battle going to be represented tactically.Something like SSI General series(PG1/AG1/PacG1)or something different?Tips?
Will the players be able when they recruit new units to also recruit replenishments for the already existing ones and in that case if someone uses replenishments in the exp. of units using them adjusted?
Will there be a capacity for player to recruit experienced units(proffesional army)or raw recruits(more troops but less trained-not militia-regular ones).

Howdy Ancient seaman,
Battle interface is vaguely similar to Panzer General, as well as I can remember that game.
Players maintain a reinforcement pool to replenish depleted divisions. There are a few parameters they control vis-a-vis this pool. They set its desired size, the training time that men undergo before they are finished training, and the age range of men recruited (the Maria Louises.) These parameters determine the monthly cost of the reinforcement pool, the strength-per-population-factor, and the morale rating of recruited troops.
On a related topic, whenever a player builds a new guard unit the morale rating of all other non-guard units he controls is decreased by a small amount -- the thought being that the best men have been gathered from the other units into this new unit.
Thanks for the interest,
Eric

ericbabe, the amount of detail you guys are implementing with this game is astounding. It has always been a gripe amoung the "regular" soldiers, that "elite" units drained off the cream. If you can pull all this off and create a stable and challenging game, this will be a classic.

All these details reminds me of an old game called "Napoleon 1813".
Same concepts: attrition, reinforcements pool, supply chain, forage.
Does anybody know it?

tolbox, unfortunately, I am familiar with Nap 1813. I also was reminded of that train wreck after reading about this game and it's list of ambitious features. Let's pray that this game can pull it all together.
