Fun With EB Games again

I had pre-ordered WAW from EB online last week and had it set for delivery. With all of the problems they were having (EB not Matrix) I decided to cancel my order on Monday and go with DD. I canceled the order and it showed it was being modified on their web site. It wouldn't let me do anything else to it. I just checked my order status with them again and now it is showing open which means they are getting ready to ship it anyways. When I called, they said refuse the shipment and they will credit it when they get it back. They are such fun to deal with.

BTW: Love the game though.

I would keep it if you didn't have to pay next-day shipping, the box version will always come in handy. If you call them and point out their error they may even credit the shipping fee. I cancelled my old "next-day" pre-order because they let me fall through the cracks and now have an open "super-saver" that i'm still waiting on but they did make it worth my while, when they mess up they do at least make all efforts to rectify the situation.
An amusing side note: when i placed a new order for a WAW retail copy, after dd'ing from Matrix, i pre-ordered Splinter Cell:Chaos Theory for TheHellPatrol Jr. and it shipped yesterday[X(] while i'm still waiting (no rush now) on WAW[:D].

I just got the e-mail confirming shipment. I called them again and they were more helpful this time. (I had overnight shipping so it will be here tomorrow when I get home). Since I will not be home to refuse the shipment, they agreed to refund the shipping and I can take it into my local EB Games and get a refund. (I will probably just exchange it for SH3 though since everyone seems to be raving about it)

(If you live in the Parma, Ohio area, the EB games at Pleasant Valley shopping center will have a new unopened game by tomorrow evening.)

[:D]Keep it, you got free shipping![;)] SH3 is all that AND a bag of chips if you've got the rig to enjoy it, one of my top purchases this year (and last). If WAW would have come out earlier i never would have even tried it, and though i'm on my 14th patrol i think i'll be glued to WAW for some time...WAW: the game to end all games[8D]

I returned the game last night. (There was already one on the shelf) They now have two copies for sale.
