How is the Battle of Britain possible at start, if Germany's fighter speed begins at one. They had lots of fighters over southern England in the summer-fall of 1940, didn't they? But it is two zones to cross the channel and bomb England, so there is a bit an an anomaly. How about starting Germany with research up to five or so in fighter speed?

One could argue they lost the BoB due to having short range fighters that could not really gain air superiority over enough of England. We don't believe that the German fighters had the range to fight successfully over England. The long range ME110 fighters are built into the bombers units. If you want long range fighters, as you noted you need to research to get them and that will take until 1941.

...or put research into the Anti-air capability of your Tactical Air units. (I never did this before, but i THINK that is a research-able attribute)
