Curious about China instead of Great Britain?

Developers... I'm curious why you made China a playable country, instead of splitting Great Britain and the USA. I'm probably just an old "Axis and Allies" boardgame lover, and can't quite wrap my brain around this decision...

Just interested to see your perspective [:)]

1) Chinese army "research" levels of their equipment is much lower than Allied, while US and British were about the same (they shared some technology). This required China being broken out or we would have had to have Chinese with special negative combat modifiers.

2) US and British units did operate together in Army Groups (did they fight in the same army anywhere, can't remember). So they need to be able to coexist in a region. This would have complicated things. We felt having them together was justifiable and it solved other issues.

Those are the main reasons.

Allow me to say that in my humble opinion the AI is far better with this decision. If you look at HoI, you see how difficult it is to have coordinated AIs between all commonwealth armies and Britain, without even speaking of USA added to the bag (of knots).
