There is a second or two lag between the time I push any button and the button reacts - any way to correct this?

We need more info. What´s your system specs for example?

Have you tried changing the graphics setting to Low in the game options, then exiting and restarting to see if that improves performance?

I updated my video driver and that solved the problem. Thanks for the quick response and a terrific game!
