Replace seasons with another time reference

Hi,
This game seems good and well thought out - except for the part where US seasons are used as a unit of time. I thought only US publishers did this - but now it has made it into this game.
I realise that for Americans it's probably as simple as counting 1, 2, 3, 4 - but US seasons mean nothing to me and I have to actively think about what months they corrsepond to.
A preference to change Winter -> December etc (or Dec-Feb) is needed badly.
Thanks,
Julian

I'm curious too. I figured the entire Western world was familiar with the four seasons, either temporal or musical

Just think of the seasons as quarters of the year:
Winter = 1st quarter
Spring = 2nd quarter
Summer = 3rd quarter
Fall = 4th quarter
Just print out and post this handy guide by your computer.

I pray to the gods that none of my Japanese friends see your post. Half of Japan is convinced that that they are the only country that has four distinct seasons, and they react with polite incredulity when someone dares to suggest otherwise.

Actually here in the Rhineland we have 5 seasons. The fifth is called "Karneval" [;)]

Ummm, you guys do realise that seasons are basically reversed in the southen hemisphere, dont you? Yes, winter is still winter in the Australian desert, the problem is that it sounds like it will be when the game is saying its 'summer' for the 'entire world' [8|]

Yes, seasons are reversed in the southern hemisphere. I find your mocking of CutLunch's comment to be in poor taste.
I did mention this earlier, before the game was released, but it did not prosper.
Cheers.

Mocking? Dammit Man, we are curious...is there a "5th" season? Is there life outside our solar system? We need answers, facts, data, theories about the "mysterious" missing season.[:D][:'(][;)]
NEWSFLASH: The parties involved in WW2 all had four seasons, from the US to the Urals, and they were all the same Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. Now there may be some lost Pygmie tribes deep in the African jungle that don't have seasons but if they didn't participate in any "operations" during WW2 then what's the point?

Someone send a note to the Ozzies: they weren't involved. Also best to let the 1st Marine Division down too, they've been crowing about that "Guadalcanal" thing too long.

Don't British use "autumn" instead of "fall"? [:D]
Perhaps he's confused by the same thing that IIRC bothered Maurice during beta test, ie, he wanted Winter to become LAST 1/4 of the year, instead of first.
And that southern hemisphere thing...
So it appears one can be confused even by such universal thing as 4 seasons.
O.

We are talking about seasons of the year, right? The Ozzies have more/less than four seasons? I didn't know that, but i do know that 1st Marines are American, ergo, they have four seasons like the rest of us over here in the good 'ol USA. Your response is about as pointless as mine[;)]...which brings me to my point: this discussion is pointless[8|]. To complain about "seasons"...are there more than four? Sure "x's" season of summer might be "y's" season of winter but how relevant is that to WAW?[8|]

Spot on my good man! And American's drive on the wrong side of the road!
(Tap tap) Attention wargamers!! It's a considered protocol that when buying a US product, especially a war game, that we be educated by this different culture.
I've learned a lot from US made war games over the decades - the proper seasons, proper spelling and that pretzels is a staple diet [;)]
