I pre-ordered the game and I am still waiting for it to come to the store! The game has been released but distibution is poor?

BTW HOI2 is great. It plays much smoother than HOI1. I am having aball playing it. Production, diplomacy, research, an dthe interface is much easier!

Moranga,

Where did you pre-order it? Most people we've heard from have found it in retail stores by now.

Regarding HoI 2, that's great, but please post comments on HoI in our general discussion forum.

Regards,

- Erik

I live in Frederick, Maryland. Neither the EB Games or the Gamestop has a copy. If you do not know Frederick, MD, it is 40-45 minutes west of Baltimore & Washington DC.

I live in O'Fallon, Missouri and none of the EB games in the area have it yet. I have checked 4 of them. I also stopped by Circuit City and Best Buy. No luck so far. I normally buy my Matrix games as digital downloads, but I really want the boxed version with manual this time. If I cannot find it soon, I will go with digital download so I at least have the game. It is torture reading everyones impressions of the game and not being able to play it yet.

Has anybody ordered from Amazon ot NWS? Last I saw at Amazon, was that it ships in 1 to 2 days.

Thanks, maybe someone else has spotted it in your area. Hey forum folks, anyone spot any copies in Maryland or Baltimore?

Keep in mind that you can also order it from the retailer online stores and places like Amazon.com to get the retail boxed copy shipped to you.

I went ahead and ordered from NWS. Should be here early next week. Now it will show up at my local EB store.

I guess it is time to call GameStop and ask for a refund. This is ridiculous.

Hi Moranga,
I live just down the road in Gaithersburg. I ordered from Amazon, took the free 3 day delivery via USPS, and my copy arrived today. You could try ordering from them, or also call the EB store in LakeForest mall in Gaithersburg.
I've just started the game, has great production values.
Good luck!

According to EB Games website... a check from Frederick MD zipcode, 21701, as of 8AM Friday morning, World at War was available at -

Lakeforest (Gaithersburg)
Valley Mall (Hagerstown)
Dulles Town Center (Dulles)

Click on www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/244249.asp website for World at War, enter your zipcode to get an up-to-date listing for your area. This is how I found my copy. As always, call to verify that the game is actually in stock.

Well that means the EB games in Frederick still does not have it. Anyway I got home tonight after work and Gamestop said it just arrived today and they have it in reserve. I can pick it up tomorrow because by the time I get home from DC, it is closed.

Not sure what EB's strategy is. They didn't know when they were getting it in so I went DD. I really wanted the printed manual for this one though and my 14 yr old son saw the game while I was playing it and really enjoyed it. I've been call my local EB stores for over a week, they say they have never had this high of a demand for a game but they only can get ONE copy a day from their distribution system. I finaly bought a boxed copy from them but jeeze they or someone needs to work on their distribution problem.

Brad

PS - This is a great game, thanks.
