I did a DD and got the manual printed on mono double sided A4 for a couple of pounds. So, £22+VAT+Manual made it £27.50 for the game. You do have a choice. SPS will get you a colour manual.

Another choice -
http://www.dvdboxoffice.com.
£20.57 including airmail from Canada (don't let that dollar figure on the site scare you - it's Canadian

). I've seen on Usenet that they get past Customs, but I'll let you know what happens to me when it arrives in the next week.

If the customs & excise do notice, it's only 5% duty, 17.5% VAT & a charge from the GPO to collect, not adding up to £34.99.

A follow-up to my DVD Box Office experience. I had to cancel because they hadn't managed to fill the order after a month. Sadly, their system doesn't tell you whether it's actually in stock or not. At least they were honest when I did ask and no difficulties cancelling.
Now trying
NWS. A whole £1.50 more [:)].

Good golly! My boxed GGWaW was only $40cdn in the store, which is like 17 Pounds... 35 pounds sounds like a big old rip-off!
It's only Canadian money, lol!!!

NWS is my prefered supplier for importing US games to the UK these days - fast, cheap and friendly. Had excellent experiences both with GGWAW and Bull Run.

Did the dreaded Taxman get you?

It arrived today. That's 7 days since I ordered it, which is pretty damn good. Good communication from NWS, which always makes me feel better when ordering from abroad.
5cats. Not sure what it would retail for here through ordinary channels, but the reference to £35 is to a specialist store that is known for securing boxed items from abroad. They charge a premium, but £35 is roughly what we have to pay for normal releases over here.
ess1. The taxman didn't get me. The game comes in a standard US Global Priority card envelope. Although it has "PC Game" in the description, it's possible that the small size of the envelope gets it under the radar. The stated $16 value of goods probably doesn't hurt

.

Hi guys this is my first time here on the forum [:)] i was toying with the idea of buying WAW for a little while and in the end thought what the hell. Anyway as gordon said its impossible to buy over the counter here in the UK so based on the advice given reading this thread decided to order from NWS.
With shipping it was $41.98 which in non-mickey mouse money was only £23.44 (Not bad at all). I placed the order on Tuesday night UK time around 8pm paying using paypal and the process was easy and hassle free. Within a few hours i received a shipping confirmation Email saying its on its way. I have just received the game about 20 mins ago which means from ordering it to actually having it in front of me here has taking about 2 1/2 days!!!
I didnt even get stung by customs [:)]
I HIGHLY recommend using NWS for UK buyers
