Hello good men-

Are there any campaigns floating around for SP:WaW? I've got Utah-Rhine, Heroes of the Motherland, Tulagi, Balkans, and Huertgen. I am just wondering if there are any more available.

I have the first operation (4 battles) of a US Army in the Pacific campaign done. It is all infantry (and some mules), battalion level. The first operation is in the phillipines. Battles one and two are defensive, three is a raid on jap communicaiton lines, and four is an escape to the sea scenario. It is going through final testing right now. I've taken a break from it now though, as i'm working on a entire war Russian Campaign, in conjuction with several other folks.

What version are you playing? With 5+, I believes the long victory as well as its 3 sub campaigns (Utah to the Rhines is the middle) should be available. Watchword freedom, Guadacanal, Normandy, Stallingrad should also be there.

Also Italy at war, Balkan crisis, Raiders of the Sahara, Rommel.

There may be more floating around. If anyone knows please lets me know.

I was gone for the weekend - at lake tahoe - so didn't do any work on it. I did take a long a history book, to work on the time table. The issue i'm having now is coming up with too many battles. I have 8 for 1941, which is about right. I have an incredable 25 for 1942. I need to cull this down somewhat. Of course, that number would only be reached by an incredable commander. For example, I have 4 potential battle on Kurgan Hill. This is the strategically important hill in Staligrad, and is on the same map as the Stalingrad campaign. As long as you can keep pulling a draw or better, you can stay on the hill, loosing a bit at the time. When you get pushed off, your part of the defense of Stalingrad operation is over.

I'm going to try and work on the storyboard this afternoon, and get a post out to everyone. I'm hoping the someone else can pick up the slack for '44 & '45 - on the story board anyway. Gen. Maczek may have to volunteer for that assignment

Of course, he will have the alternative of a long stint in Siberia.

Try Guadalcanal 1942 and The Victor's both easy and hard versions.

Now that is the tough one. I think they are hosted on the owner's site and I lost the bookmark. If you want, I could email you Italy at war. I also thinks I still have Raides of the Sahara on one of my backup cd somewhere.

Ahah, here lies the inherent problem with campaign creation. We would rather play them than build them

. I can send out the map collection that i've done so far. it is partially edited, and you should be able to tell which are which. I've worked up through the end of '42, but some of the Stalingrad operation maps (from the campaign by that name) need to be enlarged.

I can send the zipped maps (actually scenarios, without deployments yet) to anyone interest. It is a big file thoughl, about 5 megs last time i checked.

Kind of refreshing not worring about if you're going to throw a track or have to replace a road wheel. Haven't played " just grunts" for a long time. Thanx, and keep up the great work.
