Question: How well could AI handle "Fog of War" option?

I noticed that in my recent game, the AI almost played as a coward and never really aggressively attacked my weakness (U-Boat at sea, supplyless army in caucasus, etc.). I did play in Normal difficulty, the only difference is that I tuned "Fog of War" option on for all 5 players.

My question is: in order to give AI a fair chance, is it a good idea to also turn "Fog of War" option on for AIs? Would this option severely impair AI's capability to handle the complicated situations and make the whole game somewhat "AI handicaped"?

If this is the case, then maybe we should try to turn "Fog of War" only on ourselves and let AI see everything.

The AI ignores FOW so turning it on or off for computer sides has not effect.

It really has too to have any remote chance of being competitive. The human brain is far too powerful an opponent (and alot more devious [;)])

it's not cheating :) you're both playing with different agreed upon rulesets

cheating is when the AI rolls a 3 and then switches it to a 6 before you can see
