I want to try this out for a few weeks and see how it goes, this forum moves kinda slow so I may not run one of these daily, the format will be the same as Name This in the WiTP sight, howeaver as the Name Sugests the subject matter is unlimited. Answers will be given in around 24 hours from posting typicaly. From hear on out I will use "NTU..." in the tittle.

Thanks for bringing this WITP feature out for the "general" forum audiences. I love your photo contests... and always learn something from them.
As to this one....
I'm not a big tank expert, but obviously a Russian design like maybe a T-72?
Location... Golan Heights?
Purely speculation!

I think it´s a JS-III or a T-10. Looks like an old girl.
Greetings,
TL.

...location? Hmmmm, i guess the T-10 has been exported by the eastern europeans (or
russians) in big numbers. Could be in Africa, Asia...

The Tank is a T-62 . The JS-III and T-10 had smaller muzzle breaks and the turrets are not so rounded.

I'd of guess the old T54/55 series myself. That angle does make them a little hard to make out.
Of course if I had been an enemy infantryman I'd of thought 'Tanks! Oh crap!". [;)]

Looks like a T55. They had the muzzle break section at the end of the barrel, while the T62 had it a little further down the barrel.

You´re correct Dave. Now that I see this. Most definetly a T-55.

Looks like an early model T-55 as it has no features that were added later; like laser rangefinders, additional armor, etc.
