Silenced weapons?

I'm playing a game where I bought a squad of British Commandoes. The weapon in the first slot is a 9mm Sten MK2s. When this weapon fires, there is no sound. Does the "s" on the end stand for silenced?
Thanks

The Sten Mk.IIS is indeed a silenced weapon.
Interestingly enough, if you go poking round the UK OOB in the weapons section you can also find the DeLisle Carbine. The DeLisle was another silenced weapon (basically a bolt action silenced carbine which took .45ACP ammo from a standard GI M1911A1 clip) used by British Commandos and the like.
The DeLisle along with heaps of other odd UK weapons (Gammon Grenades etc) are not actually integrated in any active units (yet - v7?).
The most interesting point about both the Sten Mk.IIS and the DeLisle is that their sounds are mapped to sound file 34...
There is no sound file 34.
I suspect, (Paul can you comment?) that this may be a game flag for a low signature (i.e. hard to spot) weapon.
Hence I have refrained from recording some dodgy silenced sound effect and naming it 34.wav... :D

Thanks Richard. I'll have to run a test and see if a unit firing only the silenced weapon has a "stealthier" attack.
