I have tons of memory yet when I open a unit to upgrade, I get a message that there is insufficient memory. I'm running Windows 98 and the game works well otherwise.[&:]

shortly speaking amount of RAM you have has nothing to do with shortage WiR has. WiR is a pure DOS program and cares about basic memory only (long time has pased since I worked in DOS enviroment so cant really remember all those tech names and such).
Pretty sure someone here can give you better explenation, but I know there is software available to help you solve the problem.

many thnks...I installed dosbox on one computer which has XP,will do so on the other which has win 98
