Supply at Sea

This is a stupid question, but someoone has to ask it. I'm sure there are others who have the same question. HOW COME FLEETS AT SEA SOMETIMES WONT MOVE FOR LACK OF SUPPLY, EVEN IF THEY HAVE A TRANSPORT FULL OF $$ (TRUCKS) IN THE SAME AREA??? Do you have to go through the push the supply button and specify area thing? Is there a 1 trun lag?

This is why I never play Japan

Never seen that before and I play Japan or WAllies in the majority of my games.

Some possible explanations:

1) The fleet has already 'fired' this turn (usually in bombardment) and you are ordering it into a region with an opposing ship.

2) You are ordering the fleet to move more than one space and you dont have enough supply on hand for 'extended movement'. BBs take 1+4, CVs take 1+3, and Lights take 1+2 to move more than one space. So, if you have a BB in a space with 4 supply and want to move it more than one space, you'll get the 'cannot move' message.

If its neither of these two, try and post a save and a brief description of where the problem is. I can take a look for you and see if I see anything or if there is a possible bug

I find a similar 'problem' that's just a mechanics issue.
I try to move a fleet 2 spaces into an area with lots of supply, but it won't let me, despite having 1 supply available for the initial move. What happens is, I move 1 space first, THEN it will let me move into the second space. Weird eh?
Or is it just me? [8|]

I believe you draw supply from the area you are in or an adjacent area. So, after moving one space, you are now adjacent to another area with supply.

I believe all supply has to be traced to the area where the fleet starts its movement( or an area directly adjacant to that area.) This means that sending 1 resource to the area that the fleet starts in is not enough.
