I just updated to 1.5. Is there any reason I cannot continue my saved games. I have made it to Apr 42 for the third time.

No reason at all.

Only OOB changes will not happen.
Neither will the optional aircraft path upgrade.
For these you'll need a restart.

Well I found I have the aircraft upgrade paths I was really curious about whether or not the AP bombs would appear. Or is this covered as the OOB???

Interesting on the path upgrade. Suppose to require a restart.
Maybe it only affects some units in a current game.

I upgraded to 1.5 in my current games and I do not have the upgrade paths [:(]

I found two types that it let me upgrade without a chosen path.
PBY to Mariner's and Singapore's to PBY's. It showed them as being able to upgrade, but the upgrade button was blacked out.

1.5 fixed it, I guess.[;)]

I was able to choose to upgrade P-36's on the west coast to P-40B,E and P-38G, Also B-17C to B17E and B24D So it looks like it would work. But just make sure I am going to start over. Usually live with my mistakes but I let some battlewagons get too close to Rabaul but also did exceptionally well against DEI Jap troupers with ABDA And the East Indies Fleet slow BB,s creamed 2 Jap BB's south of Ragoon

Well first post. After spending 20 minutes looking for this patch 1.5 I cant find a download link. I've seen the sticky at the top of the page and I've looked on the main page. Can somebody help me out? Thanks

I believe to get the latest patches you still have to go to the 'Members' area and either log-in or create a new account. Then you get access.

What about the "get pilot" feature and the associated bug about airgroups not flying unless fully manned ? Are both of these active on a go-forward basis for existing (aka pre v1.5) games. I haven't done a through search of my airgroups, but the ones that I have always has the "get pilots" greyed out. Won't do anything. I need to look closer to make sure that these airgroups are short, but can anybody clarify from a pre-existing
game upgraded to v1.5.

The "get pilot" is available. It's not affected by previous saves, or patching.
You'll only be able to pull a pilot up to the max TOE/aircraft in the group.
Providing the aircraft are there.

Don't know about the not flying issue. I haven't had that problem.

I've been playing a v1.4 vs AI game upgraded to v1.5 and appear to have the choice to select the upgrade path with every air unit at which I have looked. I was unaware that there was any comment about that not being available to those who didn't restart. The Upgrade Now button will be blacked out until you first look at the screen which shows the possible paths. At the bottom of that screen you will see a switch that chooses between Do Not Upgrade and Upgrade Allowed (or something like that). Switch it from Do Not Upgrade to Upgrade Allowed, then hit the done button. Now when you go back to the main screen for the squadron, the Upgrade Now button should be usable.

There are some units in the game (British and Dutch for sure, Aussie too - I think) that cannot upgrade before either April or May of '42. This might be the reason some of your units have the Do Not Upgrade/Upgrade Allowed button grayed out.

Upgrade path for planes works, you simply must have in the setup the Allow upgrades enabled , like you enable or disable hex's, hex side etc it is by default toggled OFF.

I'm still using an 1.40 save in 1.50 and no problem changing plane types to upgrade to.

You do need planes in pool to upgrade at once through..

Get pilots works but only if you have more planes then there are ready pilots, so if have 20 planes and 20 ready pilots it will be greyed out.

Its for if you have less pilots then have planes
like 20 planes and 12 ready pilots..

I believe upgrades works in games vs AI but not PBEM.

British can't upgrade til may...dutch can't upgrade til july.
