The Desert Camp comes with SPWAW 5.3...I already have 6.1 in a seperate folder....so I loaded the Desert game into the default folder...could I have put it in the 6.1 folder without messing it up (I don't want it to be affected by the 5.3 load

To Fitz:

the better way is to install the MC Desert Fox from scratch, then delete the mech.exe and steel.prf (this one is created in the SAVE directory if you changed some preferences) and upgrade the game from v5.3 to v6.1 or wait to download the new v7.0 release coming soon.
And, in any case, it is not recommended to install the MC over an existing game but use the one that comes with it and upgrade it.
