More bugs

Luckily I haven't experienced any CTDs whatsoever so far. However, I've found two annoying bugs:
- When I customize more than one race's emblem, all the modified emblems switch to the first one modified once I get to the second game configuration screen (where you set the computer players' difficulty level, etc.). For example, 4 players: if I switch Humanity's emblem to one of my choice, and then change the Cetaci emblem's colour so it's more different than the Humans, then the Cetaci logo will be replaced by the Humanity's modified one.
- When I pick my race in Advanced mode (I'm not sure about the standard one) from the droplist, every race appears twice in the list, except for Humanity (Campaign). Odd.
By the way, I did a fresh install before applying the v1.41 patch, hoping to add some much-needed spice to the game. Another thing, two questions:
- Can you rename planets and systems after you've colonized them? i.e. Your starting ones in random map games.
- How can I extend the range of my ships? Stupid question, but couldn't find an answer in the manual.
