terrain in COTA?

I wonder if COTA will include a multitude of terrain type. It would be nice to have a database of all the different kind of terrains so you could map everything without having to mod the default ones like in httr.
Also, maybe the inclusion of variable terrains. Like what started as a dry field at the start could become a pool of mud after rain, etc.

Well we have five extra elvation layers and two extra terrain layers. So there will be a bit more scope for you modders.
Variable terrain would be nice...maybe for a future game. [:)]

But could we create maps of.. let's say Normandy... without having to mod the terrain values? Are the terrain of HttR included in COTA?

Trigger - I will likley port my HTTR Hedgerows terrain mod over to the new game once the Panther upgrades HTTR to COTA functionality. You'll be able to use that if you like.

Trigger,
There is a max number of terrain layers for any given map. If you want to have a terrain type that is not in the standard ones p[rovided then you can edit an existing one using the MapMaker app. In the MapMaker you can readily change the name and values of a layer. It's no big deal. You can also edit the MapPattern and MapKey graphics to change its appearance.
