Do people have music playing in the background whilst playing WitP? I find it helps me concentrate; if so, what do you listen to?

Back Street Boys. Either that or Britney Spears.
(heavy sarcasm in my statement above)

Usually I listen to techno or classical stuff. I find vocals distracting.
Lately: Propellorheads, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Ian Pooley, Fatboy Slim, Amon Tobin, Hikari from Kingdom Hearts, Overseer, Ayumi Hamasaki.

I kinda like the stock background music that comes with the game... and my fiance LOVES the mello Japanese flute music. She's said on more than one occasion that she wanted to get a CD full of music like that. I have no clue who did that tune.

My father and I fire up Winamp and connect to a 1920's 30's or 40's station and listen to music you'd hear during this era.

I think one of the radio transmission sounds (when a cv group is spotted) is taken from the movie "Midway" when Strawberry 5 radios in that they've "sighted main body."

Of the several stock tunes which came with the game,I replaced at least 4 or 5 with Victory at Sea tunes, and the game generates them randomly..IMHO we need more of the "TOKYO ROSE" type clips!!!![:D]

I've got a few of the Victory at Sea mp3's and they are great for WitP. If anyone's interested, I got mine from:
Victory at Sea Theme Music[/size]
Of course if you don't already have it, the DVD's would make a nice Father's Day gift, better start dropping hints [:D][:D][:D][:D]

Hi, Berlioz "Harold in Italy" for doing turn 1.
Tchaikovski Symphony#6 if things are bad
Beethoven symphony #6 if things are good.
Rimsky-Korskov Russian Easter Overture for watching turns resolve
Beethoven Choral Fantasy for doing turns (not watching turn resolve)
Beethoven Piano Sonatas for waiting on next turn (there are 32 of them so you won't get tired of the same one)

I load up my CD player with a mix of oldies, classic rock & country. I then set it to 'random' selection and let the good times roll[8D]!

Bruce Dickinson/Iron Maiden. He is a complete history, aviation and WW2 fanatic, and writes songs accordingly. So we have, for example Aces High, Tailgunner, Running Silent Running Deep, Kill Devill Hill, Paschendale etc.

Mog...Has anybody ever called you a snob before??????
You would also be less eccentric if you had the decency to play Wagner and Tchiakowsky, fer cryin' out loud......[:-]

I'm VERY sorry for this, but... "fist movement"?!?!? I know you mean FIRST movement, but still...[:D]
Orff's Carmina Burana IS extremely excellent, especially the fourth movement.
As for myself, I'm going through a 70s-80s phase at the moment, so I have a playlist including Depeche Mode, Erasure, Aerosmith, David Bowie, Leonard Cohen, The Kinks and Sting. It works...

I usually listen to music. Normally whatever I like at the time. U2, Oasis, REM, Norah Jones, Manic Street Preachers etc. If I feel angry about something my opponent has done then the worst I will get upto will be Metallica. If I lose KB then Radiohead [:D]
