Question for Pry

Hi,
I've noticed that CHS has added CB squads for the Seabee battalions. And most combat troops of both sides (in the stock scenarios) have both combat engineer and "normal" engineers as part of their OOB.
Question is: Have combat engineer squads (or new, modder-created engineer or CB squads) the ability to do construction like the "normal" engineers (i.e., do they "dig"). I ask this because the "normal" engineers (as well as engineer vehicles and support squads) certain slots they have to remain in.
