The AIF (basically the 6th, 7th and 9th Divisions) were fighting in North Africa when war broke out in the Pacific. They returned to Australia in stages during 1942. The arrival at Middle East represents this. Also, U.S. units that were ferried thruough the Atlantic or Med directly to India are set to arrive at Middle East. Except for the odd mistreek the Middle East arrivals should be OK.

Don has shown great deails in his OOB research, and some of us have gone out of our way to verify his info,(which is far easier to "nitpick" than it was for him to confirm his own info.)
The original WITP OOB's had Short Sunderland maritime aircraft being used by the Aussies, but in fact, while they did have them,Mr Churchill never allowed them to leave the European theatre once they arrived to 'take them home".
Mr Churchill also tried to keep the Aussie divisions in N. Africa, because of their very good fighting abilities..
One must however try to overlook Don is from Texas..

Actually six Sunderland Mk 1 served with the RAAF in Australia - RAAF serials A26-1 thru A26-6 (RAF serials ML730-ML734 and DP192 respectively). They served with No. 40 Squadron RAAF during 1944 and 1945. This is in addition to five Empire Flying boats (serials A18-10 through A18-14), some of which were in service with No. 11 Squadron in December, 1941. The Sunderland was the militarized version of the Short Empire Flying Boat.

A number of Sunderlands were also operated by two Australian Squadrons in Europe - No. 10 RAAF and No. 461 RAF. The 400 series squadrons were raised, equipped and served under the command of the Royal Air Force but were manned mostly by commonwealth personnel. They were officially RAF Squadrons but are frequently listed as belonging to the various commonwealth air forces (like 453 RAAF and 488 RNZAF in Malaya).

Not bad for a Texican, huh?

Don found some other I'm wondering about some I think are correct just not sure. They are the Tiger Force units that come into ME but are attached to CenPac as well as the 2 5xxx (forget what unit # is & don't have game at time) Air Wings also.

These are the "Tiger Force" air units and their attached support forces that were intended for air attacks on Japan. I'm not sure of their exact command relationship (Phil, you out there???) but since their use was to be over Japan, CentPac seems the best choice.

There were a bunch of squadrons, including a Rhodesian one - the only RRAF unit in the game. The units either transferred from Europe (which means Middle East arrival in CHS) or came via Western Canada (RCAF units).
