This is my first AAR for WIPT, have played alot with Japan, but only 2 games as Allies so watch the rookie bob and weave[8D]. This is my first real time spent with the CHS mod and it looks to be an interesting situation. Not much I can do one the initial turn. Have routed some at sea ships towards what should be safer places[:D] but the majority of my forces are waiting to see there the blows will fall.

My plans at least in the short term are to fight hard in the Phillipines and Malaya and delay as much as I can. I will be trying to remove as much oil and resources as I can save and will try to get some troops out if I think its worth the losses. If I can avoid any major mistakes early on I will work to bleed the Japanese forces (especially his air corps) and hit him wherever he is weakest. Am not going to risk my carriers as I have found out the hard way that in a strait up fight with KB they are doomed[:-].

Will get more specific after turn one is over and I see where he goes. Any comments ard feedback is welcome. I will try and post pictures as the game progresses but wont put combat reports up unless its a major battle[:D] and will rely on my overview to tell the story.

Had some tough decisions to make after turn one. Decided to do the following.

Evacuate surface ships from pearl to West Coast (all that were fit to sail) As I figured KB would stay around the islands.
Have ordered some garrisons in Malaya to fall back to singapore, but left some in place to hold a suspected second invasion farther north. His landing in Meshing was a surprize and I need to make sure he doesnt cut my troops off just yet.

Kendari falling really hurts, as now Japan has an active air base in a very forward position. I have ordered some bambardment missions for the surfare cruisers and DDs in the area and will follow with POW and Repulse when they get there. Have to keep that airfield supressed for awhile.

As is my luck KB headed south of Hawaii and got close enough to my fleeing surface units to inflict some heavy losses. Just bad luck but at least I know where KB is and can avoid him with my carriers (which have joined up)
So far losses are as expected, and considering we had no house rules for this game he should be ahead of the curve advancing but I'm sure I can hurt him along the way.[&o]
