CHS vs Japanese AI

I am playing a (modified) CHS scenario against Japanese AI - and it is working great! Any prior problems with CHS/AI seem to be gone!
I don't know if there were any AI improvements in V1.6 but the AI seems more "I". It uses it's aircraft better (moves them forward in support), is very aggressive, and is giving a challenging game so far. My test runs show the AI still sending under-escorted task forces into the Singapore area before the British air units there are properly suppressed - an old problem - but all in all I am pleased.
All submarine actions (about 10) have gone the Japanese way, with several allied submarines damaged (none fatally) and a number of merchants sunk. Lots of submarine sighting by aircraft but only one damaged (allied).
The Pearl Harbor attack results were about standard but I do have a "cheat" in my personal version of CHS. The three ships that were permanently lost at Pearl (Arizona, Oklahoma, Utah) are set with 50% flotation damage at the start of the scenario. Damaged ships seem to attract more attention and I usually get all three sunk or nearly so (OK - I did scuttle one but I wanted historical results). One time out of three test runs the Japanese Pearl Harbor attack force moved to the West of Pearl and attacked shipping there and little Ryujo is the terror of the Sulu Sea - decimating local shipping in the Visayas.
For those who play against the Japanese AI: it works - go for it! I'd appreciate any feedback from players who play against the Allied AI.
