Hey all, just signed up to these froums. Am planning on buying Starshatter but I got a few quick questions before I buy it.

1: How good is the AI? both strategic long term thinking and short term tactically.
2: How good is the campaign editor and how easy/hard is it to mod the game? Is it a experienced modder only, or can a n00b pick up on it?

Dumb! On hard settings enemy gives you challenge but there are posts where people complains that own wingmen overshoot target. In addition fighters crash to carrier when trying to land.

2: How good is the campaign editor and how easy/hard is it to mod the game? Is it a experienced modder only, or can a n00b pick up on it?

There is no campaign editor or any documentation how to make one. There is mission editor though which allows you to create single missions. Modding is not too difficult and there are plenty of instructions available.

If you want know better, I recommend you to download demo. Version number of newest demo is 3.9.4. Also check out http://www.starshatter.com
