Hi

how is the promotion of leaders handled? In the 1796 scenario Napoleon is only a 3 star general and has no 20 % moral skill. Does he get the skill later in the scenario?

Existing leaders dont actually get promoted in the game - they just have different starting characteristics in different scenarios.

However, my understanding is that this is moddable - a leader could have a removal date, and another leader (with the same name but different attribtes) could then come on.

New leaders come on as reinforcements, and random ones can get created during big battles (which is what the manual means by 'promotion').
