Building an Army

As Sweeden I've tried to build an Army. It says it will take 4 turns to build. After 4 turns it doesn't show up on the map. I've waited 4 more turns. Now it says it will take -4 turns to build.
I'm sure I'm just missing something here. I've looked through the manual twice but I can't seem to find what I'm doing wrong.

Didn't come across that one before. Must be some sort of bug because it should show up when built.

Maybe it sits in the city of the region where you built the army. I tried that with a corps once. And another thing, be sure to have a division to put into the army, cause iv'e had occasions where my army or corps just disappeared never to return if i left it empty.

Well I've built an army as Sweden and it worked fine. Guess I put something in it right away, because it stayed for me...
