Question: Just bought the game and noticed that the default scenario length in 1792 scenario is 72 months. At the end of 72 months, can I continue playing to 1820 and beyond or does the game just end? Can I mod the files to remove the time limit? Just curious.

You can just keep playing, but the default files don't provide for leader changes. You could pretty easily mod the commandr.txt file to 'merge' info from the different campiagns, creating a 'grand campaign' for the leaders.
