I do not believe we added the Midway. The class is there but the ships were not added.
I hesitate to say this again but no Japanese player will ever last till '46 anyway. I do not understand all of the interest in equipment that might be used for 1 week at the tail end of the game when it is not even needed.

I don't actually recall. We did consider it, and added the class entries and icon. Perhaps it just came too late.

OK I'll own up. The inclusion of HMS Vanguard was due to a personal request from me, a British BB fanboy. Shamelessly ahistorical (well not quite - according to the HMS Vanguard website she was supposedly being rushed to completion for duty in the Pacific when the war ended). I do remember that Midway was discussed, but I don't recall the details. Personally, I like the inclusion, within reason, of late war Allied toys (I also lobbied for the tigercat), but I think the line was drawn on the Midway. I am not an OOB authority so these decisions rest largely with other CHS contributors.

When would the Midway have come into service? Was it a just too late thing, or a not enough time and space thing?

Ron
What you have is not CHS but my wham-bam super-dupper extended version with 9999 ships. VF-66 is in but not on the Boxer.

I'm probably alone in thinking this, but why was the Fireball included, and not the Tigercat (which actually saw active service during the war)? Another thing, I don't think I'd want to be a pilot and be told to fly an airplane called a Fireball...[:)]

Actually both the Tigercat and the Fireball are included in CHS.

Not a problem - my brain has been on power-saver since 2002.
