We have been moved up to the front into fortified positions. Once again we are to face the Polish Army. This time we will defend against a determined enemy out to destroy us.
One heck of a thunder storm is raging. Can hardly see your hand in front of your face. If you can see 50 yards you are lucky. This is going to be an up close in your face kind of fight. It is still dark as we sit in our holes waiting for the first big explosion from the mine fields. This will be the only way we will know they have begun there push. Wont be able to see them till they are upon us. Wish this dam storm would let up.
We believe that our line is set up as strong as possible. The center is anchored by two complexes of small log bunkers. Three set south of center and 3 set north of center. There is a gap between of 200 yards where a platoon of B Co has been placed. Also a platoon on either side of each bunker. I have placed a Atg, IG or MG in the 50 Yard area of each platoon when possible. Have placed the Engineers squad into service with other squads as well. At least every 50 yd area has more then just a lone squad of infantry or MG.
Behind the front line I have set the 2 companys of tanks. Thay are back 200 yards or so as a break thru defense. Any one of the enemy that makes it thru the front line is to be cut down. There is to be no quarter given to any poles today. We are going to crush them once and for all.
I have managed to get extra supplies and they have been given out to all the companys. A very good breakfast has been ordered and plenty of water is being distributed as I write this. We know that we are superior fighters then the Poles as was shown last month. But also they are very determined to drive us out of Poland. This will be a hard and costly battle today for both sides.
