How much of an effect does it have to place a corp general in an army container? In my game playing Sweden, you start with a 3 star army general and a 2 star corps general in the stack, yet unattached to the army. Another question I have , is it worth garrisoning generals in cities? do they give those militia the same bonuses as regualr troops?

Per se, armies can't benefit from sub-3-star leaders, but I'm just not sure if the 2-star leaders can influence (the strategic movement of) an army by way of their influence on their designated corps which are part of the army.

In besiege situations, the garrisioned leaders have no effect.
