Hi, When I click on the desktop icon I get a black screen and only a small visible icon where the mouse is.
Running WinXP pro Ver2002 SP2 loaded the base game and have tried various combos of updates to no avail.
Any ideas?

When you talk about the desktop icon, I assume you mean the Start Game Menu? What happens when you go through the start menu to the quick start option? If this fares no better, can you please send me a dxdiag file to support@ssg.com.au (the details of how to make one are at the top of the support forum).
