Greetings everyone, only want to say that this game is for me, at least the dreamed game of the napoleonic wars, playing my first complete campaign as france, quick combat is good enough aside detailed combat, and i are eonjoying with this game maybe one of the three better games seen for 15 years of intense and continued wargaming, thanks to matrix and to the developers and thanks to beta testers and ralegh for his guides and help.
with best regards,
alaric.

I agree...I'm having a great time with the strategic game, with quick combat. I love these types of games and this one is right up there.

This game is just fun, with all its quirks and quibbles.

Le Emperuer can be laid to rest.....
In the Hall of Fame, I hope. That was the first predecessor that came to mind, the combination of strategic action at the province level with hex-based tactical resolution. Give Napoleon 200 cannons, top off the training so he gets four shots per turn, and watch Europe tremble!
One thing missing from LE is the sense of only limited control over your Empire. You could only take one action per turn, so if you spent your time training the aforementioned artillerists, you couldn't spend it building up your economy. Of course, I like to micromanage so I don't miss this as much as some might.

I'm playing 3 PBEM games right now...just did my first turn as Turkey in the 1792 scenario...totally different than my Spain turn in the 1805 scenario..I'm finding I'm excited to play numerous games as different countries in different time periods. Also, I've not dealt with the economy much and have a lot more to learn in that department. Also, a lot more to figure out in development. This game will have major legs for me...good job to the developer...and hope the next game takes a bit less time to code than this one!

Hey! The positive feedback keeps me working late into the night. Negative feedback just makes me want to go drink beer. (Not entirely true: that's a simplified model of my psyche [:)])
Any way, thanks for all the feedback, encouraging and critical alike. Be assured that all (hmmmm...almost all) the feedback helps to make a better game.

Knowing Eric as I do, I'd say he probably had at least a beer in him when he wrote that response. Now, which of you drove him to drink this time, is the question...[&:]
