The London police shot dead a terror suspect!

He was acting suspiciously on a subway train.
He was chased down by a policeman who shot him when he wouldn't surrender.

This is the only place I visit.

Apparently the suspect was shot five times! ! ! ! !

I didnt think the cops carried guns there?

They were plain clothed police. Not the regular sort if you know what I mean

They were part of an armed tactical response group/taskforce.
The suspect climbed over a barrier at the station.
And kept running when challenged by the armed policeman.
Maybe he thought the pommy cops didn't have guns too?

Who knows. End of the day when a policeman says stop and you don't you're in deep sh*t if they catch you. IF they said stop or i'll shoot then he was foolish to run

Like I said someplace earlier, maybe people will stop underestimating the Peelers, just because MOST of them don't carry guns...

The standard police DON'T carry guns. The wing of the Police that do are the Armed Response Units. Section 18 is it?

I should think that we are a big enough group to warrant our own "General Discussion" section within WiTP. I HATE going out and then back into this area.

That kinda reminds me of "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade", where Indy throws the Nazi officer out of the airship, and then turns to the rest of the passengers and says "no ticket!"

Yestersday's failed bombings will provide the police with heaps of evidence. And maybe they will have enough leads to catch the bigger fish. Last weeks that guy was detained in Egypt. He said, "I was going to go back."

Making more sense now. The man apparently had a bomb belt on with wires sticking out of his jacket. No chance to take prisoners or chances there i'd say
