New to World at War. Can someone please explain exactly the steps to launch an opposed amhpibious invasion? [&:] Do you place the transports then move land units on to them? Load the units up first? I find I have units at sea that I cannot induce to hit the beaches! I have been trying to figure out how to attack Norway for example.

Think of transports as a "railroad at sea". You place transports in the areas you want your invasion to travel through. Look at the larger number - tranport value to determin hopw many you need - then in the area adjacent to where you want to invade, lokk at the second smaller number. In both cases it costs 5 to move a regular unit ans 10 to move an armorrr unit. SO generally for a one unit invasion, you need at laest 2 tranpsorts (Amphibous value of 3 x 2 = 6).

When the "chain" is complete you cselct the invading unit and click on where you want it to assaut - blue arrrows will show the path. Make sure that you use air unit to kill artillery in the area you are assulting or they will sget to shoot before you land. If that is not an option, make sure you land a paratropper with your invasion as that reduces the efffectiveness of arty opfire at you.

Land the paratrooper first or you do not get the -4 bonus for invading units getting shot at by the artillery.
