First Time I Ever Saw This Unit!

Have I missed something either in the manual or on the forums... it is just that for the first time ever I have seen a "corps" represented in a detailed battle. It was named quite clearly as the corps, not as a unit being part of the corps.

It was depicted as an infantry unit, but could not charge nor force march (I got the only inf and cav message when attempying to force march). It was however able to fire upon the enemy units. It was able to move, but the movement points alternated every turn between either 1 and then 10.

Anyone else seen these, or have they always been there and I have not been paying proper attention?

Ian

I believe someone comented in the forum that when you start a scenario with +1 power you get one extra corp with one of such unit.

I had myself one sometime just i don't remember if that game i set +1 power or what.

AHHH... It is the first time that I have ever used the extra strength options!

Why is it a unit though, corps we build are not?

Fascinating. I'll have to look at the code that gives extra corps for the higher power settings. Thanks!

Yep - fascinating - and defintely a bug. This was not eric's intention, in case that didn't come through from his post.

I Just tried a setup at +3, and in the detailed battle there were three of these "corps"... one surrendered to me, but did not appear afterwards as POWs and was still on the map as French Corps.
