Looking for games

'41 campaign. The first one or two persons to reply to this thread will get games but no more due to limited time budget. I'll play either side, around 3-5 turns a week.

People who are good players, dislike micromanagement and also have a desire to experiment a little are wanted. My experience with the game is good but I haven't played '41 in half a year or so.

Trying out some simplified and restricted house rules is what's interesting here. The object is 1. to have as few rules as possible taking care of as many bugs as possible 2. to reduce micromanagement.

For instance: computer factory and equipment upgrade control; commanding HQ can only be changed if it's been overrun; only one player controlled air mission per HQ each turn. A full set will be put up after some replies occur and then we can negotiate.

One person has replied already so here is the proposal for "low-micromanagement" rules:

R1. Computer controlled production and equipment upgrade
(yes, this means no human intervention allowed)
R2. HQ reassigning can only be used if the commanding HQ has been overrun
R3. Only one player conducted air mission can be sent from each HQ each turn
except on June 22, 1941 Axis has the benefit of surprise so this rule does not apply
R4. No more than 10 stacking points of units can be stored in an HQ
except of course special HQs

R1 provides for B5, B11, I3, I11
R2 takes care of B2, B3, B12, I1, B4(see below)
R3 addresses B6, B13, I4(partially, see below), I10 (partially)
R4 relates closely to I2

B1 can't be abused very much.
B4 can't be used on purpose because of R2
I4 is partially allowed but because of R3 one gives up a lot with multiple interdictions on a single target
I5 can be circumvented with Lorenzo's rules (tank division with no tanks) and historically even small formations can disrupt supply (think partisans)
I6,I7,I8,I9 I don't care much about
I10 see the comment for I4
I12 is not that important since Leningrad falls anyway in v3.3
I13 is sad but can't really be fixed
I14 can probably be ignored without much of a difference (defender can place weak units in those hexes)
I15 would be nice to fix but it's hard to come up with a rule for it

hi k62,
if you agree I'm willing to play Campaign 41 with you. I leave it with you to outline any house rules. If possible I'd like to play the Germans side, as this is how I played the game against the computer so far.
pls let me know, if you wish my e-mail is angelo.arecco@libero.it or leave a msg on the forum for me.
regards,
angelo
