Once again we must assault Russian lines. This is our third assaualt against the Russian hordes. Three months and we have not been able to break the back of the Red Bear. Our men are rested and rarin to go. We know we have held the enemy and been able to go face to face with them. I think our mens fighting ability has been a surprise to them.

Engineers are out in front of all three companys preparing for the mine fields. Dam Russians really lay the mines out for us. A and B companys will be in the south 150 yards apart for there march. C company is in the center just south of road that runs east to west to the two north objectives.

A company has 450 yards to a small hill. Maybe 200 yards SW of this hill lies there objective. The hill is 200 yards across and runs 400 yards NW. Once there objective is secure they are to proceed NW behind these hills and flank the enemy that holds the center tergets.

B will move 500 yards that lies North of the hill C is to take. Once they have secured this hill they are to turn NW along the ridge of there hill towards the center. This hill runs NW 600 yards to with in 200 yards of the center target. The northern objective is 250 yards NW of the center on another low hill.

C Company will proceed along the south side of road. This is about 3/4 up from the south map edge. They have 700 yards to cover to reach the foot hills guarding the center objective. This road runs 100 yards south of there. Once they have reached the eastern slopes they are to turn NW and come up over this hill and take both the center and north targets. By this time our plan is that the companys of A and B will be in position to help with this capture.

So far in both the other two assaults there was very little Russian armor. Once again I hope our luck holds out. Our long range guns began a bombardment at 1900 hours. This is to last for 15 minutes along our front on suspected mine emplacements. It will then be used in a search and destroy mission along our proposed routes to victory.

Our guns opened up on the enemy at 1900 Hours at or near suspected mine fields. This bombardment lasted for 15 minutes and then was moved slowly rear ward. All three companys began to move at the same time. Engineers are in the advance of the three colums so as to find and clear the ever present mine fields.

Both A and B in the south have advanced very well so far. The lead Engineers have found and have begun to clear some mines. A has recieved no fire so far while B 150 yards north did take some slight fire from a ridge in front of them. Called 81 mortar fire downon suspected location, seems to have stopped.

C in the north has not been as lucky. 122mm fire began to drop about 15 minutes ago. Couple of casualties so far no equipment damage as yet. Also began to recive some 50 mm mortar fire as well. As they got near to the mine field began to recieve heavy fire from a ridge on there right flank. Moved two platoons of tanks out on there right flank. They fired on the enemy there. Seemed to have chased all squads off of the ridge at the moment. Ordered some 81 and 150 mortar fire on and to the rear of this ridge as well.

So far we are progressing as planed all along our front. Just need the Engineers to cut a hole thru the fields as qucik as possible. Dont want to sit here in the open too long. Will give there guns to too much time to zero in on our men massed behind the Engineers.

Troops from A and B company have busted thru the mine fields. Engineers did a fantastic job in opening a 150 yard wide lane thru both fields. Both companys have advanced at least 200 yards past the inner line of mines. They are in the process of spreding out into a company front before turning NW towards the center. Two platoons of Engineers from company A have begun to head SW towards the objective there. There job is to capture and hold this ground until relieved. They are already within 250 yards of there as the reports from that area of the battle field ondicate. This part of the plan worked well. This doesnt hold for company C in the north.

They have been under almost constant harrassment from the enemys guns and heavy small arm fire from there right flank. The snipers have been a constant threat to the Engineers. We must have taken out at least 8 of them so far. This has caused a big slow down in there efforts to get thru the mine field in there sector. The Tanks stationed on there right flank have also been in a long and drawn out fight with the enemy troops on the two small ridges to the front of them. The enemy is taking heavy losses from this return fire but continue to send in more troops to replace the ones that have fallen. These enemy troops are the same ones firing on the Engineers as they try and clear the mine field. Not much progress has been made in the north today.

One good thing has come from this tho. The enemy has concentrated a lot of energy in trying to stop this northern advance they have forgotten about the two companys in the south.. The two companys there have had very little enemy fire coming there way. A few isolated shots from some squads that were chased away almost as soon as they began to fire. Once or twice a couple of rounds from 50mm mortars landed near with no loss of life.

If our plans work as figured we should be able to surround those troops trying to block the centers advance and annihalate them. Once the two companys have swung into line and begin there advance NW then and only then will we know how our plans will go. As I stated before company A will swing NW behind the range of hills that guard the two north objectives while Company B climbs those hills and runs NW along the ridge top. Should get real hot within the next 40 minutes or so. Maybe we can finish the enemy today and crush all resistence in the area. Would love to go home I really hate this desolace place. This country is not worth the lifes we have lost to it. It is the garbage pit of the world in my thinking.

We have the reds on the run. A company in the south has taken there objective and have moved NW to come up behind the hills in the north. They have begun to catch the Russians that are running from company C in the north. B company is moving along the hill top NW as well, they are clearing out left over troops that would have attacked C in the north.

C has managed to take the southern objective. Now they must move NW to the next one. Our men have run into 4 bunkers that were guarding the approaches to the target. All 4 have been delt with in a swift fashion so far. A MG nest and 2 log rifle pits were taken out by the Engineers with no losses. The concrete and steel bunker took a little longer but went up with a bang from a well placed satchel charge.

Company A in the south has begun to move towrds the rear objectives. Victory is in sight and well within our reach. Placed some 150 on the rear objectives and manged to take out a t-35 there. Saw the big red colum go up from the blast as it ignighted. Can expect a few more to be hiding some where around the area. Engineers are hunting for any more bunkers with blood in there eyes.

So far our losses are minimum maybe a hundred lived have been lost to there 122 bombardments also at least two light tanks have gone up in flames. Our arrty such as the ATG have not been in the fight at all today. This is due to the quarter master forgetting to get transport once again. I swear im going to have to lop off some heads before this campaign is over.

Once again we have been victorius over the red menace. The Rusians are beatin. They are running as fast as they can go. Equipment has been left along side the road. Our losses were kept to a minimum today. Men lost 279 also 7 tanks were blown apart. One was a very respected leader and will be sorely missed. Lt. Takamara had over 20 kills to his tanks credit. A determined leader in the face of our countrys enemys. He took a direct hit from a much stronger tank then his a t-35 monster. Even then he returned fire until his tank blew up keeping the enemy occupied while our Engineers got close enough to drop a satchel charge on it.

All victory hexes were taken even tho the enemy had at least seven bunkers and four ATG guarding right on top of thr objective. Troops were sent around the bunkers to take out the AA guns and 76.2 ATGs. After they were taken out Engineers moved in on the bunkers and laid waste to them.The Russians once again paid dearly in this battle. They lost 1506 men also 2 tanks. Did not see anymore tanks once again. Seems they had opted to go with a stromg bunker line instead of tanks. We took out 50 pieces of artty tho mostly of the 50mm mortar kind. Lot of AA around the rear objectives maybe 7 of them were blown up as well and 45mm ATGs.

We have been ordered to refit and rest. Doesnt seem we are goining to leave this nasty country. We are to prepare to advance once again against Russia next month. Doesnt seem as tho we will ever see our homeland again. This will be the third battle for us in as many months. We have sent over 3000 Russians to where ever they go to hell I assume. Once more we have faced a enemy of our homeland and been victourius. Glory to Japan and the Emperor.
