I though it was this monday... but for the moment, nothing

LOL - its only 7am EDT here....

I haven't seen anything that states it is definitely coming Monday. I think I might have seen "as early as Monday" but that is very different from "definitely monday". Anyway, it shouldn't be much longer. As they said it would be a while between patch 1 and patch 2, I suspect they just want to be sure that patch 1 is solid.

We were planning for Monday but we, prompted by the requests of folks on the Matrix forums, decided to try to fix the multiprovince bug for the first patch, and consequently have pushed by the planned release by a few days.

That's a great decision as the multi province bug is indeed a major problem....it will be well worth the wait!

The major thing I'm waiting for in this patch is the fixing of the 'both sides rout and CTD' bug. That's been a real game wrecker for me.

Although, 90% of the time I've found that by pressing the 'Retreat' button (and replying 'yes' to the verification box) as soon as possible after the two sides rout, the game doesn't crash when it gets back to the strategic map.

All crashes appear to have been fixed. We realize how important it is to get this out there for those experiencing instability, but we felt that a few extra days at this point were worthwhile to address some of the multi-province issues. Check the pinned thread for more info as we have it.

I am still willing to drive over to Ann Arbor to pick it up!

Sweet, now Turkey should be able to form a proper protectorate with Algeria instead of getting the old "Algeria is now a Turkish-occupied Turkish Protectorate, and when you try to liberate it to see if that would fix it, the capital moves to Libya and takes away one of your provinces, but then when you conquer it you find the capitol is not really there, and now the original Algeria can't be conquered because it forces peace on you every turn" bug.

Exactly what happens to me every game. I think this bug was a Spanish diplomatic action, truth be told. [:D]

Yep, most likely we'll just keep working on the patch and turn it into an expansion pack. Remember, you heard it here first. [;)]

Good response Erik, I prefer to wait a few days for the patch and have it work , then be frustrated by a prematurely released one!

I understand that even as we speak Matrix have a team of top programmers working day and night on the expansion pack for COG, working title Kingdoms, Republics, And Power. Do we have an ETA yet, will it be bug free, and what is in it?
