Pearl Harbor Strike Force

Why does the Pearl Harbor Strike force attack from only 60 miles north of Lihue? Should it not be around 200 miles north of Oahu along the 160w Meridian? No wonder it commands the area around Hawaii victimizing the poor ole US Carrier TFs at sea....
