Has anyone got or read the Osprey book on Crete by Peter Antill?
If so, is it worth buying? The only other book I have read on Crete is the one by Antony Beevor.
Thanks

It so-so
Is it worth the 15-20 bucks, only if you like pretty pictures. I have most of the Osprey books and look to them for overviews and quick reference ,as they are far from in-depth.The 3D maps are pretty cool along with the color plates of uniforms but as I stated dont look for a in-depth look at the campaign.

Thanks Sarge.
Think I spend my money elsewhere then and use Google Earth for 3D views of Crete[:)].

It's not bad. I also read "Conquest of the Balkans" (time life books) which ended up being a much more enjoyable read (and more informative.) It covers the entire balkans campaign + crete.
It may not be as in depth as some on these forums may like, but it was enough info for me to understand the campaign and get me excited about COTA.
