-Played a 22 turn WWII campaign battle
-My FO team had contact with the Arty Bty 150mm only 8 of the 22 turns
-the FO team was next or in the same hex as A0 unit
-This is not a one time occurance but regular occurance in the 5 plus battles that I have fought
-could someone please tell me why this is happening?...bug maybe?
I have been in the artillery for 14 years and comms from the FO to the guns is a must and both ends strive in all means to keep that channel open. I know 55 years ago radio tech was no as it is today but still...
Next point
AI points, any reason why they get so darn many points?
-I have tried buying cheap tanks for more and upgrading them as I play.. PZII vs S-35 does not cut it.
-tried very good tanks but they just get overwhelmed by the computers numbers
-I now buy many anti-tank rifle teams and a few tanks and about 16+ sections of Infantry to give me a fighting chance.
All that said, I really like SPWAW and I am working on some Bulge scenarios that are never covered. IE.southern sector Infantry actions. These scenarios will be historical as possible. I have been researching the Bulge for 10 years now and I have a complete set of maps 1950 issue.. Bye for now

The FO has its own radio and maintains radio contact with the battery by itself. It has nothing to do with the A0! Its based on the artillery skill and experience of the FO. ON of the toughest things was close coordination of artillery with frontline units. The battery was firing in support of the unit on your flank during those "dead" periods...

The AI gets so many points becasue it still is a bit on the predictable side...:-) SOme fo the OOBs have some point glitches (like teh Polish infantry being on special this week for half price... We will be issing a patch in a few weeks to clean some of that up.

Anybody interested in helping out let me know...

Early on if you buy or upgrade two of your units to 88 AA guns you will find it much easyer to win. trying to destroy them freach tanks using PzIIs or even IIIs is very hard. When I got to the French, my 88s destroyed 85% of the French armour and my tanks only about 10% and I lost 2 tanks destroying that 10%. By the time the 88 become less effective, the Germans will start to get some of their better tanks.

The 88's in North Africa againest the the British armor is even more profound. I discovered quickly that British armor could not deal with the 88's due to lack of good ranged soft target weapons. Their tanks were very propritory as far as type of rounds carried. Later in doing some reading I found out in fact that it was a major problem. This is just another tribute to the game design, the fact that Matrix has brought us even more and kept the basic design intactact, has got me wondering what my lesson will be. :-)
